Gently lift the upper half of the case.There are three screws on the bottom of the case, two on each side and four on the back. Remove the second, fourth, seventh and ninth screws on the outside of the machine toward the battery compartment. Remove the three 4mm screws from the back of the battery compartment on the inside of the MacBook. Using the screwdriver, loosen the two small 2.5 mm screws on the inner edge of the battery compartment next to the side of the case.Keep pulling until the transmission and track are out of place. Grab the plastic tab on the top of the unit and gently pull it out.Hold the memory cards by the sides and gently pull them out of the MacBook. Lift the brackets on the back of the L-bar to free the memory card from the slot.Take the L-bracket out of the battery compartment. Remove the L-shaped bracket inside the battery compartment by loosening the screw with a Phillips screwdriver.Discharge static electricity from your body by touching a metal object or wearing an antistatic wrist strap.Unlock the battery and remove it from the computer.
